In a post-match interview with CAJ News, Ndlovu said the Young Warriors were in control of the match, arguing that lady lucky did not smile on them. On three occasions Vusumuzi Nyoni came to face-to-face with the Cote d’Ivoire goal-minder but fluffed over the bar.

“The boys did their level best but we were just unlucky. We dominated the match from the onset but failed to turn those glorious scoring opportunities into goals,” said Madina.

He added: “the defeat will not affect our blood circulation at all. We are happy that we now have a strong team to represent the country in 2008 at the Olympic Games.” – CAJ News.
