Mandigora takes over Dynamos reins

place w:st=”on”>HARARE – Crisis-ridden Harare football giants, Dynamos have finally appointed David Mandigora as head coach ending months of uncertainty.

Dynamos have been without a coach since they fired Moses Chunga who steered the Harare giants out of relegation trouble at the end of last season.

Since then, Dynamos officials have been clashing over who will take over at the turbulent club. Some Dynamos members appointed Zambian, Keegan Mumba but the decision was reversed after the club’s director of coaching Sunday Chidzambwa refused to work with Mumba.

The Harare side then re-hired Chunga but the former national team captain quit in a huff this week after most senior players deserted the team.

Mandigora, himself a Dynamos son, is no stranger to the Dynamos bench as he spent the last half of last year assisting Chunga.

Sources said Mandigora initially refused the post but was persuaded by Chidzambwa and some board members. Chidzambwa is said to be happy with Mandingora as he was not comfortable working with either Chunga or Mumba whom he saw as threats to his authority. About 10 players have decided to part ways with the troubled giants. – ZimOnline
