Highlanders – a cut above the rest

HARARE - Top Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League clubs failed to take advantage of Highlanders' slip at the top after chasing clubs either drew or lost during last weekend's matches.
Highlanders are leading second placed Hwange by nine points and third placed Chapungu by 12 points. Champions CAPS Un

ited might be fourth placed but they
are trailing Bosso by a massive 15 points.
Bosso lost 1-0 at Lancashire Steel on Sunday but it looks like the Bulawayo giants are competing against themselves in the league.
On Saturday, CAPS were held to a 2-2 by a Quincy Antipas inspired Motor Action. CAPS are surely not displaying any championship football but are
playing like a relegation bound team.
Chapungu and Hwange, both of whom are closest to Highlanders were fighting each other at Ascot Stadium also in Gweru last Sunday and they drew 0-0.
The results of matches involving Hwange, CAPS and Chapungu clearly showed the difference in class between Highlanders and the rest.
Highlanders can afford to lose a number of games and still remain in a strong position to win the championship at the end of the season. – ZimOnline
