Mhlauri tested in Morocco(01-02-07)

HARARE - Charles Mhlauri, the national soccer team coach, faces a defining moment in his career when Zimbabwe take on Morocco at the end of this month with a squad of mostly aged and tired players.
The dreadlocked mentor faces bidding farewell to chances of qualifying for the

2008 African Cup of Nations group also involving Malawi.
Once again, the Warriors go into crucial battle without sufficient preparations yet they anchor the group on zero points, having lost the first match away to Malawi. Only one team from the group will qualify.
Mhlauri’s development and integration programme has yielded little, if anything, since he took over the Warriors almost three years ago. The same players, such as Zvenyika Makonese, James Matola, Charles Yohanne, Tinashe Nengomasha, Esrom Nyandoro, Edzai Kasinauyo, Shingi Kawondera and captain Benjani Mwaruwari are set to represent Zimbabwe against Morocco.
