Trust Robert Mugabe?

I live just across the border in neighboring South Africa. Our feeling
here is that the agreement' signed yesterday is yet another sham by the
Vampire of Harare to stay in power for as long as he possibly can.

Robert Mugabe knows, as do we, that if he should ever hand power over to

the legitimate leader of Zimbabwe, Morgan Tsvangirai, then it’s as good as

a one way ticket for him to a nice jail cell in The Hague along with

Charles Taylor, and put swiftly on trail for torturing and murdering

thousands of his fellow Zimbabweans during his 28 years of demonic rule.

At least this way, for now, he can still live in the lap of luxury while

his people starve or are beaten up by his security forces.

But more important, the signing is almost tantamount to an acceptance that

he is, in fact, the legitimate president of Zimbabwe. When he said

recently that, “only God can remove me from power”, he certainly wasn’t

 joking…

I don’t trust the former terrorist, and I never will. The leader of the

MDC is the latest victim to be sucked into his wretched trap, and stupid

little Thabo Mbeki, Mugabe’s big mate, is using all of this as an excuse

to keep him in State House. Indeed, Mbeki was the very worst possible

choice as mediator in the Zimbabwean tragedy and Robert Mugabe, of all

people, knows it only too well.

Remember, the leopard never changes its spots. Only the spot it sits on.

 What a sham!
