Zimbabwe, who have been on a downhill slide in recent years, secured
their fourth straight win when they walloped hosts Kenya by 66 runs in
the last of four one-day internationals over the weekend.
The impressive performance followed similar success away to Bangladesh.
Prosper Utseya and Foster Mutizwa combined to steer the visiting Zimbabweans to victory. Together they produced 107 runs.
Winning matches had become a rarity for Zimbabwe in recent years. This
followed the resignation of key players after differences with Zimbabwe
Cricket (ZC).
ZC’s management has also come under fire for alleged abuse of funds as well as links with factions in the Zanu (PF) regime.
