The Cheetahs were pooled alongside South Africas Springboks, Kenya and Korea. The Zimbabweans will begin their tough assignment on March 26 with a clash against the reigning IRB World Series Champions (South Africa) in the opening match of Group F.

They will then face a tough assignment with continental giants, Kenya and Korea the following day. In their last meeting with the Springboks in George, in December, the Cheetahs were beaten 5-29 before succumbing to Kenya in a dreadful 0-50 defeat. The draw however does not worry the Cheetahs head coach, Liam Middleton.
