Dynamos out to stitch Blue Ribbon

Harare - Dynamos will be out to stitch Blue Ribbon when the two sides face off in a potentially explosive Castle Lager Premier Soccer league tie at Rufaro this afternoon.

Interestingly, the technical benches of both teams have a Dynamos connection. Misheck Chidzambwa, the head coach at Blue Ribbon, and his assistant Labani Kandi, both made their names playing for Dynamos.

The team is now under the guidance of Lloyd Mutasa- a football legend at the club. And, it remains to be seen who will blink first between the two coaches.

Mutasa is coming from a morale boosting 4-1 defeat of Black Mambas.

His team, which has been criticised for an uninspiring show in recent games, displayed a vintage performance against the police outfit.

Archieford Gutu, who has been away on trials, was at his belligerent best in the game against FC Platinum and scored two brilliant goals from free kicks while Rodrick Mutuma, who had struggled to score for the team, fired two beautiful goals and today he will be hoping to find the same form.

"Obviously as a striker I am supposed to score goals. I was happy to score a brace in the last game and I hope to continue scoring. It has given me confidence. I think the team is now playing well," said Mutuma.

But Blue Ribbon cannot be under-rated. Talent Munetsi one of the best players at the premiership debutantes said they were ready for Dynamos. "We drew 1-1 against Monomotapa and we were not happy with the points we lost. We want to collect all points against Dynamos," he said.
