Another Marley in Zim

The son of Reggae Legend Bob Marley, who performed at the Uhuru concert in 1980, will appear in Zimbabwe in October as part of the We Are One Festival organized by The Jah Put Ah Hand Movement.

Fabian Marley will be one of 10 reggae artists to tour the region. The others are Miguel Collin better known as Sizzla Kalonji, Glen Washington, Fredlocks, Orlando Octave, David ‘King David’ Nieves, Devon ‘Lyrikal’ Martin, Goerge ‘Wildlife’ Scott, Marlene ‘Sexy Marlene’ Seurattan , Nigel ’Dainjamental’ Julien, and Khari ‘Khari Kill’ Williams.

In a recent interview, US-based ABRA Tribe CEO, Simukai Mandizvidza, popularly known as Abra Simz, said the tour would include workshops to uplift local musicians.

“Local artists will also be part of the festival though none are official yet”, he said

Meanwhile, renowned UK-based Zimbabwean DJ, Chris Goldfinger, who has won numerous awards during his stay at BBC, will be conducting workshops.
