The title track and “Murume Wangu” are the songs set to attract a lot of attention from fans and music critics as they address topical issues – the importance and viability of circumcision and the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority.

In the opening track, the veteran artist challenges the government-directed circumcision policy, which he describes as un-Godly as it seeks to undo what God ordained and designed.

“In the case of side effects in future, how will people deal with this irreversible situation (circumcision). It defies logic that a piece of flesh (foreskin) that God in his rightful sense of mind created, all of a sudden becomes a health hazard to mankind. Now we have organisations pumping money to fund such projects yet there are hungry and homeless people who are in need of financial support,” he argued.

The second track takes on the power utility, Zesa, which has plunged most of the country into darkness through massive load shedding. “Murume Wangu” personifies Zesa as an irresponsible husband neglecting his family. The wife finally gathers courage to tackle her notorious husband who is never at home.

The former NAMA award winner has a well-documented track record of lyrical prowess depicted in songs such as Pharaoh, which attracted a lot of controversy. The Vaparidzi Veshoko frontman said he composed the album in a way that would make it difficult for the airwaves to ban it, as has happened in the past.

However, Chipanga said in the event that the album is banned, people will be eager to know why, thereby exposing those in authority.
