Dinyero promises to revive FC Platinum

Masimba Dinyero has vowed to help transform FC Platinum into an efficient and result-oriented side following his appointment as their new assistant coach.

The former Black Mambas and Dynamos player recently joined his long-time friend Lloyd Mutasa who last month took over as head of the dressing room at the ambitious Zvishavane side until the end of the season.

FC Platinum are currently on top eight in the log standings and still seeking a return to the glory days that saw them end as the Castle Lager PSL Runners Up in 2011 on their debut PSL season, winning the Bob 88’Super Cup and Independence Trophy in 2012.

“We are in for a challenge, but we are committed to helping the team regain its lost status,” said Dinyero recently.

“Our major aim is to use material we have to deliver. We have good players and we will motivate them into winning ways. I am sure it will work out well even though I have few days with the club; I believe in Mutasa’s leadership qualities. I have worked with him previously as a player and coach. Our relationship and understanding dates back and this speaks volumes for us. We will deliver without fail as we are training hard to assemble a winning squad. We are working on our strikers to get as many goals as we can so we go on top.”

In a recent statement released by FC Platinum they sang Dinyero’s praises.

“Dinyero brings a wealth of experience as a leading soccer player and a coach in the country. Our expectations are that he will be of great assistance to Mutasa.”

Dinyero has been a loyal friend and assistant to Mutasa since the duo left Dynamos in 2001 to join Sporting Lions.

The two worked together at Highway, Flame Lily, Kiglon and lately Dynamos in 2011 when Mutasa was fired in August of that year.
