Headed by South Africa-based Zimbabwean Que Montana, the Forum is asking competitors to enter by uploading their demo tapes on www.MUWOFO.com. Each competitor will receive a unique code that their fans must use to vote for their songs.

Those with the most votes will qualify to be in the top ten. They will also receive a registration code to battle it out at the Televised Music Show in their respective countries.

There will be two winners, a male and female, who will proceed to go to the continental phase before proceedings to the finals where 14 contestants will compete to be crowned Queen and King of Muwofo talent search.

The winners will be signed under Muwofo Academy of Music where they will receive one year tertiary course on music and business management. They will also release a single album under Muwofo’s label and an instrument set. There will also be prize monies and an opportunity to perform at the Music World Cup and Music festival in 2016.

Several local musicians have excelled in local, regional and international music competitions. They include Jonah Sithole, the 2007 CBZ A Academy Show winner, and Eric Moyo, the first ever winner of Idols East Africa – a version of the Idol series.

UK-based Zimbabweans BKay & Kazz also excelled at the UK’s Live & Unsigned contest in 2007.
