Update on Linda Masarira
Meanwhile in a case in which a Tajamuka/Sesjikile Linda Masarira was arrested during the peaceful 6th July shutdown which was heard at Mbare Magistrate Court, the State has asked for more time to respond to the defence’s application. The defence is arguing that Linda was brought to court well after the 48hours stipulated by the constitution. She remains remanded in custody until the 26th July 2016 and will appear at Mbare Magistrate Court Number 2. We maintain that Linda is an innocent Zimbabwean whose crime is asking her leaders to be accountable. WE DEMAND HER RELEASE NOW BECAUSE WE ARE ALL LINDA MASARIRA.
