Council Jobs Safe For ZANU PF Youths

Council jobs safe for Zanu youths, says MDC

MARONDERA

Free primary education and a safeguard on council jobs for Zanu (PF) youths were two of the promises made by the MDC as they campaigned in Mashonaland East this week.

The Movement for Democratic Change held several rallies in the area.

Iain Kay, the MDC parliamentary candidate for Marondera Central, was part of the provincial delegation that addressed hundreds of MDC supporters at business centres in Marondera urban and rural on Saturday and Sunday.

As the candidates took turns to speak, they all stuck to the manifesto launched by Morgan Tsvangirai in Mutare a fortnight ago, which promised to make primary education free and to safeguard council jobs, even for Zanu (PF) supporters. People were warned last week by the out-going Zanu (PF) council that they would lose their jobs if the MDC was voted into power.

Iain Kay, who spoke in fluent Shona, urged people to vote for justice, peace, democracy, jobs and economic stability through MDC.
