Ten National University of Science and Technology (NUST) students today appeared before a Bulawayo Magistrate court on charges of public violence. The charges arose when students a demonstrated on campus in April against high tuition fees. (Pictured: Kurayi Hoyi, SRC President)The ten Trevor Vambe, Christopher Hwada, Brighton Mukwari, Fortune Karimanzira, Kennedy Chizana, Michael Zvinowanda, Evans Musara, Mukai Chigumo, Lawrence Bhebhe and Tawanda Saiti are out of custody. The case has been further remanded to 12 August.
In a related story ten National University of Science and Technology are set to appear before the college disciplinary committee tomorrow, The ten are Kurayi Hoyi (SRC President),Samson Nxumalo (SRC Secretary General),Vivid Gwede, Mukai Chigumo, Christopher Hwacha, Tawanda Saiti, Fortune Karimanzira,Trevour Vambe, Bright Mukwari and Lawrence Bhebhe. The ten who are on suspension will appear on charges of demonstrating on campus.
