The market price of a Discovery 4 complete with automatic climate control, 360Km speedometer, nine speaker audio facility and room for seven adults – is pegged at 36 000. Most of us toil to make ends meet but we have been supporting the party for many decades but when our leaders showcase their riches this way, it boggles the mind, one Zanu (PF) ward leader from Mberengwa told The Zimbabwean.
Others echoed his sentiments, questioning why Chombo had chosen to fly by road to meet grassroots party supporters.
Another party member said: Chombo knew he was coming to a meeting where he would not attend with heads of state, diplomats or government officials but he decided to be showy.
