Zanu PF chairperson vandalize hotel property

jonathan_moyoJohannesburg - ZANU-PF representatives, supporters and spin doctors are in JHB in full
force led by Jonathan Moyo (pictured) who was on SA FM radio and Etv this morning,
Tafataona Mahoso, Vimbai Chivaura, Joshua Sacco, Tabetha Kanengoni and
others.

“When IDAZIM hosted a seminar on security sector issues in Sandton
yesterday these ZANU-PF supporters turned up seeking to dominate
proceedings, and in the audience was a serving Brigadier General who told
the meeting that the military was resisting reforms because they view the
MDC as a threat to ZANU-PF'” sasid Dewa Mavhinga crisis coalition Zimbabwe coodinator.
Today, at the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition organized press conference the
same team turned to participate. All went well until half-way through the
press conference when the ZANU-PF chairperson for JHB tried to disrupt
the meeting by shouting and making noise, breaking hotel property
including a lamp post in the process. Luckily the police and hotel
security quickly intervened to restore order. We were able to proceed with
our press conference and launch of our report – the military factor in
Zimbabwe’s political and electoral affairs. We are taking action that
includes filing a complaint with the police and with the SA Mediation
Team.
Tomorrow at 10am we launch a two-day photo exhibition – Zimbabwe
Footprints of Abuse – at Hilton Hotel, Sandton, in Ballroom 1. For those
in Sandton please pass through – our reports will also be distributed at
the Photo Exhibition Centre – Ballroon 1, Hilton.
“On Saturday from 9am we shall hold a March and Rally in support of a
credible elections roadmap that has clear time-frames and an enforcement
mechanism,” said Mavhinga
