Melatton CEO resigns

Metallon Gold Zimbabwe’s CEO and Executive Chairman, Collen Gura, has resigned to pursue personal interests, the mining company announced last week.

In a statement to shareholders, Metallon said the group had begun the process of identifying a long term replacement for Gura. In the interim, Allan Mashingaidze, the group’s Chief Executive Officer has been appointed acting CEO.

Allan, who is also the chamber of mines’ second vice president, has been the Metallon Group for 21 years and has served in several positions, as resident geologist, group geological manager, technical service manager and mine manager prior to his appointment as Chief operating officer.
