The former Highlanders skipper, 29, who also captains the Durban-based side, said he had applied for South African citizenship ahead of the lapse of the window period at the end of this month.
The former national team captain has spent the last seven years in South Africa, having joined the then-Silver Stars after the 2006 African Nations Cup. The same year, together with compatriots Joel Luphahla and Bekithemba Ndlovu, he helped the team win the Telkom Knockout, albeit playing a cameo role.
His outstanding performances at Stars, whom he also captained, earned him a R1 million move to Amazulu ahead of last season.
The Harare-born goal-minder’s abilities and leadership skills immediately earned him the captain’s armband.
