Chiyangwa hurt in mysterious mansion fire

Flashy businessman, Phillip Chiyangwa, was hurt and had to receive treatment when his Borrowdale house caught fire.

Details of the incident are still sketchy, but reports indicate that the fire broke out yesterday and Chiyangwa received serious lacerations from broken window panes when he tried to help put out the fire.

The fire brigade, sources say, promptly responded to the fire which is said to have seriously damaged the bedroom.

The cause of the fire could not be immediately established.

The Borrowdale mansion, commonly known as the White House, is considered one of the most expensive in Zimbabwe, complete with a helipad and a mammoth parking bay for visitors.

Chiyangwa could not be reached for confirmation of the incident, even though initial reports had indicated that he had been admitted at an undisclosed trauma centre.

Chiyangwa, who has always claimed he is President Robert Mugabe’s nephew, was recently involved in a public spate with Patrick Zhuwao.

Zhuwao, who is Mugabe’s sister’s son, dismissed Chiyangwa’s claim of being related to Mugabe and blasted him for evading a police roadblock.

Chiyangwa hit back, describing Zhuwao as a loser.
