Moyo (42) is from the Nguwo Tsvuku apostolic sect and hails from Mutoko but has been staying in Sheckleton for years. He has turned the toilet into a ‘’surgery’’ and shrine for his clients and followers.
‘‘Some of my patients sleep here and I provide them with food. Chinhoyi Municipality at one time wanted me out of here but I told them I have nowhere to go as I don’t have the money to rent a house. I have a lot of followers here,’’ he said.
Besides his followers who come for spiritual deliverance, Moyo is battling to cure his 10-year-old son who has epilepsy.
His wife, Immaculate Makombende (35), told The Zimbabwean that poverty had forced them to take refuge in the toilet and her family did not mind the derision they endured at the hands of members of the community.
