UZ Students Union President arrested, BRUTALLY assaulted
...as students demand their right to campus accomodation

University of Zimbabwe Students Union President, Lovemore Chinoputsa and
Secretary General, Fortune Chamba have been today arrested and brutally
a

ssaulted by state security agents and campus security officers after a
peaceful mass protest rocked the institution, demanding immediate resident
students installation at the campus halls. President Chinoputsa had called
for an Extra-Oridnary General Meeting on campus, to address the long overdue
accommodation crisis students at the university find themselves in.
Chinoputsa was subsequently arrested as the students demanded the Vice
Chancellor’s address.
