Mother of hail storms hits Bulawayo

BULAWAYO – A massive hailstorm hit Bulawayo's northern suburbs on Monday night at around 7pm, with 40mm of rain falling in half an hour. The storm destroyed trees, garden, crops and birds. In one garden alone 32 dead pigeons were found. Gutters were blocked with leaves as the storm de-fo

liated hundreds of trees. This caused many houses to suffer flood damage as gutters overflowed into them. Horticultural crops, such as tomatoes, suffered the most damage. – Own correspondent
