Ncube court papers filed

BULAWAYO
Archbishop Pius Ncube, a fierce critic of President Robert Mugabe, has argued that the sensational Z$20 billion lawsuit he is facing for alleged adultery is vague, court papers lodged at the High Court reveal.
According to court papers, the Archbishop through his lawyer Advocat

e Nicholas Mathonsi of Coghlan and Welsh Legal practitioners has filed a High Court request for further particulars for the claim against him.
Archbishop Ncube is being sued by Onesimus Sibanda, who alleges that he had an adulterous affair with his wife, Rosemary Sibanda for two consecutive years.
But according to court papers, the Archbishops lawyer has demanded to know on what basis at law, his client’s alleged relationship with Sibanda’s wife is malicious. The lawyer also wants particulars of the marriage certificate.
It is the Archbishop’s contention that the court should be supplied, as a matter of urgency, with facts regarding the specific details of the extent, dates, time and venue of the alleged adultery.
“Who witnessed the alleged adultery? Specific names and details of the said witnesses are requested. How is it alleged that Defendant knew of the marital status of Plaintiff’s wife? – Own correspondent
