The deceased and injured parties were flying in a PA24 flight from to Seretse Khama University in Botswana when it crashed immediately after take-off at around 10am on Thursday (today).
Police spokesperson, Superintendent Andrew Phiri, confirmed to CAJ News that the plane burst into flames after one of its wings touched the ground.
Supt Phiri said the survivor, Dr Godwin Muchinda, was rushed to Parirenyatwa General Hospital for medication where his condition was described as “critical”

The other two corpses of the deceased could still be seen lying just by the side of the plane wreckages.

According to eyewitnesses, the plane took off for a few minutes but one could notice from a distance that although the aircraft was airborne, it was not stable.
Those who were closer ran towards the airport and saw fire coming out of the plane before nose diving and crashing.
No one was being allowed close to the site of the crash by the Charles Prince Airport management, who said they wanted to establish what had transpired first.
When the news crew arrived, those injured had been rushed to Prarirenyatwa General Hospital for treatment whilst the deceased bodies of the two were still lying by the side of the wreckage.
Police and civil aviation authorities confirmed the accident, saying negotiations were in progress. The names of the deceased are still being withheld until their next of kin of have been notified
