Zimbabwe cricket's future uncertain

ZIMBABWE's Cricket team suffered a humiliating whitewash defeat at the hands of visiting Sri-Lankan side, at Harare Sports Club in the five Dialog One Day International series.

Since the exodus of the experienced white players such as veteran
wicket-keeper batsman, Andy Flower, who is now England assistant coach,
Alistair Campbell, Neil Johnson, Murray Godwin, Heath Streak and Stuart
Calisle, in 2005, Zimbabwe has been synonymous with defeats at the
international scene.

Terms such as duck, follow on, stumped out, all out and
innings defeat has been typical of a match analysis or reports
between Zimbabwe and other experienced teams.

Inexperience has been the word to describe the young and talented young
players, but the tag has left many wondering if ever the national team
will be ready for a comeback in the test cricket, after failing to
assemble a consistent side for the much-needed experience for three
years now.
