Nabanyama was abducted on June 19, 2000 in Bulawayo by unknown assailants, and has not been seen since.
However, speaking to The Zimbabwean, Mkandla blasted Dabengwa and his cronies, saying they had blood on their hands and should not pretend to be clean now that they have revived ZAPU.
Dabengwa and his ZAPU guys were killers, they have blood in their hands, now they want to pretend to be good people. When there were in Zanu (PF) they used to abduct, torture and kill MDC supporters, said Mkandla, who is also a former Zipra war fighter.
They killed Nabanyama and we still dont know where his body is. They should confess and show us where the body is, and then we can believe that they are reformed, he added.
Speaking to journalists at a ZAPU congress in Bulawayo recently, Dabengwa denied any involvement in brutalizing MDC supporters during his period in Zanu (PF). The ZAPU leader said that he used to tell President Robert Mugabe and other Zanu leaders to stop using violence against opposition supporters.
