The circumstances have not yet come to light, but the victim, Howard Makonza,has been taken to a hospital for treatment. The perpetrator is believed to be one R. Mwanza who guards the house of Commander of the Zimbabwe National Army, Lt-Gen Philip Sibanda.

Biti aide beaten up – update
Late this afternoon an employee of Hon Minister of Finance Tendai Biti, was brutally assaulted by soldiers at Biti's home.
