Addressing journalists at a press briefingon Monday, Gorden Moyo the Minister of State in the Prime Ministers office, said the inclusive government needed urgent funding from the International Moneraty Fund (IMF),World Bank and other international institutions otherwise it would collapse.
Moyo said for this to happen all parties in the GPA should respect this agreement. We still have a deadlock on several issues, especially on the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and the attorney generals appointment. No international institution will release funds to this country as long as Gideon Gono is at RBZ. There have no confidence in that man, he has a bad history, said Moyo. He dismissed claims by President Robert Mugabe and Zanu (PF) that Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai was doing nothing for targeted sanctions imposed on the geriatric leader and his cronies to be lifted.
The Minister of State also revealed that a government work programme to replace Short Term Emergency Recovery Programme (STERP) and the 100 day economic revival plan was to be launched soon.
