The Green Bombers said they were angry to be reduced to destitution at their various centres of operations.
They said, in interviews with The Zimbabwean that they felt they had been used by Zanu (PF) after playing a very pivotal role in the partys programmes over the past few years.
We were sidelined during the just ended National Youth Conference, said a Green Bomber. We are hungry and we feel that these people no longer want us anymore. We terrorized innocent villagers in a crackdown against MDC supporters throughout the province, he added.
We were promised good rewards and employment, but up to now our working conditions are continuously deteriorating, as we are rotting in the camps. Some of us did not listen to our parents when they told us not to go on youth service, and now we are almost destitute, said another tearful Green Bomber.
