CAPS United striker, Nyasha Mushekwi, is leading the goal scorer’s chart with an incredible 18 goals from 25 matches. The forceful forward scored a hat -trick against Kiglon and Monomotapa last weekend. Tailing Mushekwi is Gunners’ Norman Maroto on 17 goals.

Maroto netted a brace against Njube Sundowns whom they beat 4-1 at Gwanzura to help his team Gunners shoot to the summit of the log.

But, it was Mushekwi who was basking in the limelight this week. The big striker declared in an interview with The Zimbabwean that he was aiming to win the top accolade.

“I am delighted to have rediscovered my form at the right time. I want to dedicate my goals to the whole team’s effort. We are playing like a united family. I hope I will be able to finish top goal scorer at the end of the season. That is my aim,” said Mushekwi.

Dynamos top marksman, Cuthbert Malajila, who was leading the scorer’s chart before he went for trials in Belgium, remains a dark horse. He is trailing Maroto with 15 goals.
