Una confirmed in a Facebook posting that promoters in Zimbabwe had approached the Morgan Heritage family several times about performing and said the deal was finally sealed last week. Yes, The Mission In Progress world tour will be taking us directly to Zimbabwe early December, Una explained.

The highly-rated reggae band will become the latest reggae act to have performed in Zimbabwe. Previously Gregory Isaacs and Luciano staged shows in Harare.

Like most frontline reggae outfits, the Morgan Heritage family has consistently denounced injustice and poverty in the world. Assiduous and feverishly focused, the group, which comprises the children of reggae singer, Denroy Morgan, is on a mission.

We love Zimbabwean people, we love music, said Una, adding that Heritage had taken a month off in October, and would be touring Europe in November.

She admits that touring is gruelling, but for these rasta/reggae standard-bearers, it comes with the territory and is an integral part of their musical mission.
