Where have all the resources gone?

The resolutions of the partys recent congress, which met under the preposterous title:

United in defence of our national resources and the peoples economic empowerment are ample evidence that this party is out of tune with reality.

We all know who the people are those who have become fabulously wealthy from plundering our natural resources and stealing the commercial farms of those who laboured long and hard to build them up. They certainly have economically empowered themselves the few thousands of them.

But what about the other 10 million or so Zimbabweans who are now poorer than they were in 1953 27 years BEFORE Independence?

As members of the ruling kleptocracy get older and older, most Zimbabweans are dying younger and younger. Since Independence, the average age has dropped to around 36 from over 60. What an indictment on a government in the 21st Century.

We would like to know just how many of those 10,000 delegates, who were cheering Mugabe as he insulted the west for the umpteenth time, have been economically empowered or benefitted from the plundering of national resources?

Even the party itself is struggling for money. Many of the delegates attended the congress wearing faded and torn party t-shirts.

The congress resolutions show that Zanu (PF) is a party that is utterly delusional. They will not accept responsibility for the way in which they have destroyed the economy, indeed the very fabric of our society.

It was tragically evident, in the desperate jostling for position and power before and during the congress, that the noble African spirit of hunu/ubuntu general respect for humanity (who you are, I am) has been destroyed by Zanu (PF).

Of course, in Zanu (PF) parlance, position in the party hierarchy means just one thing a strategic position at the feeding trough.

Where have all the resources gone? Gone to Zanu fatcats, every one.
