JOHANNESBURG - Some former coaches in Zimbabwe have tipped Ivory Coast to lift the African Cup of Nations currently running in Angola.
The former New Orleans coach, Pardon Nkomo, thinks the Didier Drogba led Elephants will emerge triumphant at the end of the African Cup safari. I put my money on Ivory Coast. Players with the international calibre like Yaya Toure, Kolo Toure and the aggressive forward captain Didier Drogba will prove to be a thorn in the flesh of most teams.
Nkomo, who has also coached the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe as an assistant, said the evergreen Drogba would be the cornerstone of the Ivorian team. I think Ivory Coast have what it takes to be African Champions. Some of the players have been together for some time in the national team and understand each other very well.
