Local-based Bafana Bafana stars take on the Zimbabwe Warriors at Durbans Moses Mabhida stadium on Wednesday night, as part of the South Africans preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which they will host in June.
Booth, a reliable central defender with Bafana Bafana, said Monday morning that Zimbabwe, who will be close to full strength following the inclusion of their South African-based players, will pose a far sterner test for Bafana Bafana than Swaziland.
South Africa clobbered Swaziland 6-2 at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday, in a match that the Bafana players received no international caps.
The situation will be different with Zimbabwe though, and all South African players taking part in Wednesdays game will be capped, as the South African Football Association (SAFA) also believes that Zimbabwe is strong opposition and the match is regarded to be a recognised international friendly.
“Zimbabwe have a stronger (than Swaziland) all-round side in defence, midfield and attack, said Booth.
We will be dealing with the likes of my own teammate Esrom Nyandoro, Kaizer Chiefs Tinashe Nengomasha, Knowledge Musonda and other top class Zimbabweans who play in the PSL.”
Kickoff for the game will be at 8:30pm.
