Malema warns his desperate friends

julius_malema2The recent visit by the ANCs Youth League president, Julius Malema, (Pictured) was a classic demonstration of the degree to which Zanu (PF) has collapsed as a national political party in Zimbabwe.

Desperate for friends, Zanu (PF) officials, including a cabinet minister, ran around like brainless chimpanzees tending to Malemas comfort and entertainment.

Indeed, the who-is-who in the Zanu (PF) kleptocracy was clearly evident during Malemas visit. The rank and file of Zanu (PF)s youth were marginalized and kept out of the limelight as the rich and infamous took over and ran the show. Malema is well schooled in saying the politically correct statements to the satisfaction of his gruesome hosts. The first time he fell out of sync with them was when he denounced political violence just after he urged them to be militant. Malema said, But militancy does not mean cutting peoples hands, militancy does not mean violent politics Ouch! There was silence in Mbare when these powerful words were uttered. It was obvious that Malema was well aware of the violence which is the trade mark of Zanu (PF) politics.

Malema went further to warn his desperate hosts that political violence could result in Zimbabwe being invaded by the so-called imperialists, Once we engage in violent means of politics, we run the risk of giving imperialists the reason why they must invade Zimbabwe. Now, why did their Dear Leader never tell them this before?

But Malema was not yet done with them. He went on to tell them pure lies by saying, We want you to hold peaceful elections because we know that under peaceful elections, Zanu (PF) will win. Perhaps Malema is not as familiar with local politics as I initially assumed. Under peaceful elections, Zanu (PF) will be buried 16 feet deep. His audience was well aware of that reality; they are unlikely to listen to his advice on this one.

But Malema was to further lie to them thus, We are critical thinkers, we believe in sitting down and negotiating. He must have been talking about the ANCYL and not the Zanu (PF)-YL. There are no critical thinkers in Zanu (PF); Malema should have been advised in advance. Then he told them precisely what they did not want to hear from him or from anyone else, regardless of how true it was, Those who think violence is a means for solutions, they cannot think, that is why they introduce violent politics in the politics of Zimbabwe. Well said, Malema.

His hosts did not know how to react to this so they remained very silent and thoroughly embarrassed. The man is full of self-contradictions. He went further to denigrate himself and all black people by foolishly stating, Today they are so bright, they are colourful, we refer to them as white people. Maybe this colour came as a result of exploiting these minerals, we can also develop some nice colour and look like them. You do not know whether to laugh or to cry. Some serious people should take Malema and give him a dose of Introduction to Political Science (PA101) before unleashing him onto the region.

Did the Zanu (PF) youth learn anything from Malema during his visit? Did they agree with him regarding the evils of political violence? I doubt that very much. In fact, it is very likely that they will not invite Malema into Zimbabwe again before the next elections. Here is an excellent candidate for an observer of the next elections in this country. Civil society should organize to invite Comrade Malema as an observer of our next elections. Perhaps that will help Zanu (PF) to shun political violence.
