Attitude rather than words

teach_me_your_waysWe are looking at prayer and answering the question, is there a better way to pray?

The attitude behind the prayer interests God more than the actual words. If you spend an hour in what you call prayer does not mean youre accomplishing anything. If your attitude is wrong your prayer is wrong!

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.

What a Holy person! Have you heard them storm the gates of heaven? All they receive is a pat on the back, because mans admiration is their only reward. They wont receive anything from God!

Praying in tongues, prophesying, having all the faith, giving your possessions to the poor, or even laying down your life will all profit you nothing if done without Gods kind of love. (1Cor 13.)

If you are not getting the desired results from your prayer life, check your motives. Have you prayed for years and not seen the manifestation? Perhaps your body isnt healed, or your finances are in a mess. Friend its not God who hasnt been answering, its your prayers that have been wrong!

Most Christians see prayer as an opportunity to move God. They believe God can do anything, but He hasnt done it yet and our prayers will get Him to respond. If this is what you believe, your prayer life is on a faulty foundation!

God has already done everything Hes ever going to do. When Jesus died and rose from the dead, He completed the work ALL THE WORK! God has already forgiven and healed every person. He doesnt even have to lift His finger, to cause a healing or salvation.

As far as God is concerned, the sins of the whole world have already been forgiven. Jesus was the Lamb and His sacrifice was perfect and when He entered the Holy of Holies, His sacrifice was accepted by the Father. This doesnt mean that everyone is automatically saved and healed! All individuals must receive by faith what Jesus Christ has already provided in order to benefit from it. A gift isnt fully yours until its received. Thats why Romans 10:9 says, that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Believing what Jesus has done for us past tense – is what helps us receive. Jesus did EVERYTHING for us 2000 years ago! – If you have any questions or like to discuss anything I have written about email me at: rhf3@yahoo.com
