Machapa is one of the former Caps United star players who moved to South Africas lucrative ABSA Premiership league early this year, after a good CAF Confederations Cup showing in which the Zimbabwean team ironically booted Swallows out in the second round.
The winger this week told The Zimbabwean at his clubs training place, Delville Grounds in Germiston, that the top-class training facilities at Swallows disposal and their extensive training programme would make him a better player.
The facilities are just excellent and I am really hopeful that this will help me develop as a player, said Machapa. It also feels good to be appreciated as a newcomer. I have gelled into the family and what remains now is for me to just go out there and deliver on the field.
German-born mentor, Rainer Zobel, who has previously praised the Zimbabwean winger, said Machapa was adjusting well to life in Johannesburg.
He is a bit tired at the moment because he is not used to so much training, but he is not far off. I am sure that in the next week or two, he will have reached his usual best and be ready for action, said Zobel.
