Mash Eagles chief executive commended ZC for the role it was playing towards developing the sport in the country.
“Zimbabwe Cricket and Mr Bvute (ZC managing director) in particular have a desire to see cricket being played across the entire country. Our hope is that cricket will become the biggest sport in the country and it is great that we have been able to receive kit because we know that is does not come cheap,” said Ribatika from Harare.
ZC said despite facing challenges before the advent of the franchise system a year ago, club cricket had continued to persevere as all the five franchises in the country now ran their own division leagues.
