Warriors to take on Mambas in friendly tie

knowledge_musonaHARARE- THE Warriors go into camp tomorrow for the high profile international friendly against the Black Mambas of Mozambique in Maputo on Wednesday. Care taker coach Madinda Ndlovu has called up four players from South Africas Kaizer Chiefs for the match against the Black Mambas. (Pictured: Knowledge Musona Called up)

Ndlovu, who is also the Black Mambas technical adviser will be hoping to convince the ZIFA board to give him the job on a substantive basis with a good result against Mozambique.

The Warriors are currently without a substantive coach after Belgian Tom Saintfiet’s application for a work permit was turned down by the department of immigration on Wednesday.

Norman Mapeza who was co-coaching with Ndlovu has also resigned leaving Ndlovu with a huge challenge of convincing the ZIFA leadership that he has what it takes

to lead the Warriors.

“We are taking this practice match seriously. We need to work on some weakness I observed when we played Cape Verde,” said Ndlovu.

The Kaizer Chiefs quartet of Knowledge Musona, Zhaimu Jambo, Thomas Sweswe and Tinashe Nengomasha were all included by caretaker coach Madinda Ndlovu, while Mamelodi Sundowns have three players in the 18-man squad; Nyasha Mushekwi, Method Mwanjali and Esrom Nyandoro.

Platinum Stars striker Terrence Mandaza is in line to make his debut for the Warriors.
