The locals are set to rub shoulders with some of their counterparts from Zimbabwe, who will also be represented in the CAF competitions by local clubs. Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and BidVest Wits, which have within their ranks a combined total of nine Zimbabwean players, will all be taking part in next years gruelling CAF competitions, together with last seasons league champions Supersport United.
Sundowns, who have the Zimbabwean quartet of Esrom Nyandoro, Nyasha Mushekwi, Lionel Mtizwa and Method Mwanjali, will take part in the 2011 CAF Champions League together with Supersport United after the two teams finished the season as the two top sides on the overall log standings.
Veteran Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha, an experienced campaigner in CAF club competitions, will be hoping to inspire his side to glory in the CAF Confederation Cup, alongside team mates Knowledge Musona, Thomas Svesve and Zhaimu Jambo.
Chiefs will be joined in this competition by Wits, who have within their books former CAPS United goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro.
