Masango tries his lucky in coaching

soccer_ballPRETORIA - Former Zimbabwean national team players continue to flock to South Africa, with the most recent example coming from Butler Masango, former Warriors coach, who now coaches junior players at Little Legends Foundation in Randburg.

Masango says he enjoys working with junior players and he devotes most of his time to identifying young talent and developing it.

Im currently working with Little Legends Foundation where we integrate and evaluate kids from various backgrounds and unite them with soccer. I usually spend most of my time with these young players as I want the best out of them and they are very easy to work with them as they always follow instructions, added Masango.

Butler also works closely with former Warriors and Orlando Pirates player, Gilbert Mushangazhike, and plans to return home some day to set up something similar to the foundation.

Im planning to go back home and set up a soccer academy with my childhood friend Gilbert, we want to teach youngsters teach life skills, coach them; we dont want them to be better footballers but to be better human beings as well so they can make a change in their communities they live in. I partnered with Mushangazhike so that we can help the young players in Zimbabwe to realize their dream of becoming the next generation of soccer stars, added Masango.

Masango also expressed his desire to be included in the junior national team set-ups as he believes he has a lot to offer junior players in the country.

My greatest wish is to coach young players in the national set up, if Methembe Ndlovu can coach Young Warriors, why not me? I have just got a coaching Certificate from the Royal Netherlands football Association on youth football development. I am readily available for duty if calls and I will definitely develop good talent for the country, said Masango.
