The high profile event will be addressed by Tendai Biti, the Minister of Finance. A spokesman told The Zimbabwean in an exclusive interview that firms which could benefit from the high level address included corporate entities, finance boutiques, investment bankers, accounting and legal firms.
He said participants would address such issues as primary and secondary listing and trends on the international market, developing one’s international capital raising strategy on the LSE, experiences of Zimbabwe-focused entities listed on the LSE, as well as an overview of specialist securities, including exchange Tradeable Funds and securitised derivatives including exchange initiatives for 2011.
Speakers include Shingai Mutasa, Non Executive Chairman of TA Holdings Limited (TA), and Alban Chirume, chief executive of the Securities Commission of Zimbabwe. Those from abroad include Ibukun Adebayo, Head of Business Development, South Asia, Middle East and the Africa London Stock Exchange (LSE), Tom Price, Chief Operating Officer, Westhouse Securities, Rob Pinker, Managing Partner, Brunswick Group LLP and Bayo Odubeko, SJ Berwin LLP, all from the UK.
