Cops don’t have a clue

EDITOR - I know that the people who took part in assaulting the police officer who died might be affiliates of a political party of their choice, but that does not mean to say the party must take responsibility of their actions. I condemn in strongest terms the way Zanu (PF) and the Police are rubbishing MDC.

Again I don't believe that all people who are incarcerated in connection with this case have anything to do with the unfortunate incident. It doesn't take 30 people to kill a man, otherwise you end up stumbling on each other unless you take turns. The continued hunt for many more and the arresting of people who were not even in the bar makes me sure that Police do not have a clue of what happened.

They should be investigating rather than making inflammatory statements to the nation, based on falsehood.

I don't say a crime was not committed or the police should not pick people for questioning but this should be done in a way that is truthful and that gives confidence to the nation and the world in our national police. Police must start to be professional and lead the way to lawfulness, justice and good governance. – Ndumureyengozi Shumba, South Africa
