Shooting stars Ephie and Sizara will join their sisters to lyrically enchant local music lovers.
Joe Nachingura of the prolific producer, Heshi Mfeshi Records, said the he came up with the idea after realizing that the local music industry was denying female artists a level playing field.
“It’s strictly an all-female compilation. The idea came to me after I discovered that female artistes were being kept at bay in the
local music industry. There are very few women players in themainstream industry.
They are lacking behind and I think this album will make noise for our sisters to be heard. Let’s give them a chance and let the industry grow without sex barriers,” stressed Machingura, adding that the album will be out towards end of year.
He called on other female artistes from various parts of the country to be part of the phenomenal project.
“We want more female voices from other parts of the country. I have been talking with guys from Bulawayo. If I do get two or three guys from there it will add weight to the album,” he said before alluding that the compilation will mainly focus on matters of the heart.
