Pascal Nyasha, a motivational speaker and entrepreneur, lodged an urgent application in High Court last week seeking to stop Makandiwa from manufacturing, producing, selling, dealing and distributing the so-called "Christian Spiritual Link" airtime cards.
The popular young prophet Makandiwa had launched his US$3 airtime which enabled members of his church to communicate with him for six days. Nyasha said he stole his idea.
High Court Judge Justice Tedious Karwi yesterday threw out the application saying it was not urgent. Nyasha had approached the High Court charging that Makandiwa had stolen his idea of launching the spiritual airtime which he claimed was originally called "Evangelicard."
The prophet is also being probed by the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe for launching the airtime which allows his parishioners to communicate with him for six days and receive blessings.
Reports suggested Makandiwa had fled the country when POTRAZ opened the probe, but his church says he is on vacation.
