
The veteran trade unionist will join the global trade union where he will take up the position of Deputy Secretary General. Chibhebhe's appointment came after the ICTU general meeting in
Brussels unanimously elected him to the post.
He will complete his current term as secretary general for ZCTU before his international assignment after the local trade union's congress set for mid August year. Chibhebhe has an outstanding record as a leader in Zimbabwe, defending workers rights and campaigning for democracy.
He is also a highly respected trade unionist both in Africa and around the world.
