Housing dpty director makes in roads in music industry

A Chitungwiza Municipality official, Takesure Muronzi, is making tremendous strides as a professional musician following the success of his DVD album Pachedu (Together).

The 45-year-old housing director has a double life – by day he works at the municipality, while at night and on weekends he is the Pasivanhu Stars front-man.

The jiti maestro is cordially referred to as Mr Tsombori in music circles by his legion of fans.

The Mapoto (Co-habitating) hitmaker said, “I don’t have any problems balancing the two professions.”

Muronzi’s second DVD album – Pachedu – is receiving relatively good radio airplay on the local airwaves with songs such as Mapoto and Kurambana (Divorcing).

The Pasivanhu Stars front-man crash landed in the music industry in 2000 with his debut album Tondori and never looked back. To date he boasts two DVD offerings and four albums – Tondori (2000), Tenda (Appreciate) in 2002, Maticha (Teachers) in 2005 and the 2008 self-titled album Tsombori.
