Star Brite director, Barney Mpariwa, made the announcement that registration for those who wish to take part in the talent show was now underway.
“The registration is being done via cellphone text messages or by visiting the Star Brite centres, dotted around Zimbabwe,” he said.
Star Brite produced stars like Tendai Chidarikire of the Sasa fame, jazz sensation Prudence Katomeni and Mathew Kaunda among others.
“We have so far received an overwhelming response from would-be contestants. We have received applications from participants from all over Zimbabwe," Mpariwa said.
Winners will get recording contracts courtesy of Zimbabwe’s music superstar, Oliver Mtukudzi, among other record companies.
“This year we have decided to honour Oliver Mtukudzi by hosting this competition for his great works in the music industry. The semi-finalists of the show will play Tuku's songs as recognition of his contribution to Zimbabwe's music and arts industry."
