Warriors in camp for Liberian clash

Warriors troop into camp tomorrow for the decisive 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia in Harare next weekend.

The match has been moved to the National Sports Stadium. Fans who want to watch the high profile encounter will have to pay through the nose after ZIFA hiked gate entry charges pegging the rest of ground at $5 while those who want to sit in the VVIP tribune will have to part with a cool $100.

Warriors team manager Sharrif Mussa said they were expecting all players including foreign based players in camp tomorrow. "So far I have been in touch with all the players called up and have indicated their availability," said Mussa.

Zimbabwe go into the match with their confidence high after beating neighbours Zambia 2-0 at Rufaro on August 10 in an international friendly through goals by the Ajax Cape Town duo of Willard Katsande and Khama Billiat. The pair has been named in the 23 –man squad for the game against the Lone Star of Libera.

The Warriors who beat the Eagles of Mali to revive their dream of booking a ticket to the continental games are in third place in their group with five points while Cape Verde and Mali are leading the group with seven and six points respectively. Liberia are at the bottom of the group with four points.
